Turn
right out of Faro airport, heading towards Faro.
Stay on this stretch of road for about 1 mile and then you will see a
signpost marked S.BRAS N.2 (IP1) – this turns into a country road
not a motorway.
Rejoin the A22 motorway signposted ESPANHA

Turn
off first turning to LEPE (Junction 117), N431
|
|
Stay
on the main road (don’t turn left to Lepe). Follow the sign for the ‘PLAYAS’
until a big roundabout (with a ‘CASH LEPE’ cash & carry warehouse in
front of you).

|
Turn
left at the roundabout and continue on main road.
|
|
Keep
going on into LEPE. You will see a supermarket ‘CHAMPION’ on your right.
|
|
Just
after Champion, you will arrive at a main crossroad with traffic lights.
Turn right towards LA ANTILLA. - H4116
|
|
Continue
along the road.
|
|
Straight
on at first roundabout (Pinares de Lepe)
|
|
Turn
right on the second roundabout, (you have arrived on the outskirts of
Islantilla).
|
|
Take
first right immediately after the roundabout, and go up the hill.
|
|
Continue
up the hill, you will pass the hotel on your right and golf club house on
your left.
|
|
When
you get to the next roundabout turn right – you will reach another
roundabout – turn right, and you will pass the new commercial centre on
your left.
|
|
Turn
right at this junction and Valle Golf is approximately 100 yds down on your
right.
|
|
Take
the ring road from the airport and locate the A49/E1 motorway towards
Portugal.
|
|
Turn
off at junction 113 towards LEPE est
and Cartaya this will take you on to the N444.
|
|
Approximately
10 minutes on take a right turn at the junction of the N431 direction
Lepe.
|
|
Do
not turn right into Lepe but follow the signpost to Portugal
(effectively straight on).
|
|
Next
you need to be careful as you will be turning left at the lights, but in
order to do this you have to get into the right hand lane (this type of
manoeuvre
is a feature of Spain and Portugal!).
Do not stay in the left lane otherwise you will have to go straight
on.

along the road.
